Real Questions start with what : How or Why?

Religious people claim that Religion provides answers for the major questions humanity faces, like:

Why we are here?
Why was this world created?
What is the purpose of life?

Religious people feel that they have the ultimate true answers for these questions, all listed in a handy (if cryptic) ancient text. On the other hand science can only confirm knowledge after a painful scrutiny of evidence and proof. Scientist can only verify information by using the Scientific Method.

Scientists love to answer questions like 'How does this work?' and love to find out what factors are involved in action and reaction. But they stop making claims when their scientific knowledge does not lead to verifiable conclusions. Religious people have no such brake system.

Professor Peter Atkins, a British Chemist and Professor of Chemistry at the University of Oxford, and a Fellow of Lincoln College brilliantly said that "Real questions start with how… not why."
